Parent, Child and Family Support

  • From the parent's perspective

We discuss your perspective, your values, your wishes and your needs. We’ll help you learn about both child development and the development of yourself as a parent too.

  • From the child's perspective

We’ll explore their perspective and their skills through play and observation. We’ll encourage skill development by building on their connection and engagement with you.

  • Adjusting the environment

We’ll discuss your daily rhythms and your/your child’s environment to explore whether there are adjustments that may help support successful and enjoyable participation and engagement. This may involve consideration of each person’s sensory sensitives, their lived experience, past history and learning opportunities, while holding developmentally appropriate expectations.

  • Collaborating with others

We can support you in collaborating with others and advocating for your own or your child’s needs when engaging with the wider community. This could be in parent and baby classes, extracurricular activities, childcare, kindergarten, transition to school, medical or other appointments or NDIS. We can write letters, documents or plans to help summarise and share your needs.
